Lamps - All lamp technologies and sizes for residential, commercial and industrial purposes.

-Compact fluorescent lamps (CFLs)

-High intensity discharge (HID and other mercury containing lamps - includes: mercury vapour, metal halide, high pressure, sodium, low pressure sodium, UV and germicidal lamps

Ballasts - Ballasts integrated into fixtures as well as ballasts sold/disposed of separately, including older ballasts containing PCBs.

Fixtures - Fixtures, regardless of whether they are marketed for residential, industrial or commercial purposes.

-Linear fixtures - troffers, surface/suspended mount, strip lights

-Commercial/industrial indoor non-linear fixtures - ceiling mount, track lighting, wall mount, stage lighting

-Decorative and light commercial fixtures - pendant, wall mount, flush, track, canopy, recessed/pot, under cabinet

-Chandeliers and ceiling fans - chandeliers and ceiling fans that contain lights

Accepted Lights

As of July 1, 2012 the program includes all lights (i.e. "bulbs") marketed for use in residences or households that are designed to be replaced by the user, including:

CFL

Fluorescent Tubes - These long tubes come in different lengths (such as 8 feet, 4 feet or shorter) and widths (such as T5s, T8s or T12s) as well as sometimes in curved or circular shapes. Maximum acceptable length is 8ft.

Light Bulbs

Compact Fluorescent Lights (CFL) - Fluorescent bulbs that are typically similar in size and intended to replace an incandescent (traditional) light bulb in a residential setting.

Halogen and Incandescent - Filament lamps of all shapes, sizes and wattages.

 

Light Emitting Diode (LED) - Solid-state lamps used for specialty purposes and conventional lighting applications that are typically similar in size and intended to replace an incandescent (traditional) light bulb in a residential setting.
